.... that Dallas (W.T. White) DE Micah Howeth (6-2, 236, 5.22) is listing A&M and Oklahoma, but not SMU? Are we not chasing the guy? It's not like he's a 6-6, 275-pound monster who is on every HS all-America list. His HS coach, Mike Zoffuto, has produced some real good college players back when he was the head coach at Lake Highlands. He can flat-out coach. This guy might be a special player, and he's in SMU's back yard.

He may list Oklahoma and A$M, but are they listing him? That size and speed suggests he's a walk-on candidate at best at either of those schools. And...we may suck today, but we will soon be among the upper echelon of the "also-rans" in I-A football. Book it!

We do? Then how do you explain getting the players we've gotten since Bennett's arrival? It's not just his charisma, I assure you. He has sold players repeatedly on the idea that this thing will turn around, and quickly. And how many games were we either leading or within a few points late?

Your comment is off-base. We're not there yet, but we're definitely on the rise.

And I've seen W.T. White play, and this kid is very talented. And more than that, he's lean - he'll get a lot bigger (although he might have to start his college career at OLB). That 40 time has to be a misprint. He's pretty quick.

Gentlemen (and ladies): it's EARLY. Don't give up on a player just yet. There's a long time for the coaches to reach a HS player. Remember, at this time last year, how many people thought we had a shot at Avery Cleveland? Ervin McGee? Cory Muse? Rey Pellerin? Jay'Mond Cleveland?

Let the coaches work on guys. I'm confident we'll have a great class signing in February.
