Why doesn't SMU have a good drinking song?

BTW - look up that drinking song on wikipedia....

My favorite ending to an alternate version is the one for the University Football Club in Perth, Australia. Classy.

I would imagine her car is a T-brid.... a Thunderbird... and she has a spare tire, meaning she has a flat.

But then again, even though I was handed the lyrics my freshman year in the band, I don't know that I ever read tham... again, learned the song in my youth.... so, hell, it may not even b "T-bird spare".

The ants are my friends, they're blowing in the wind....

Isn't "Little Grass Shack" sort of a drinking song. And at UVA they sing some drinking words to "Old Lang Sein" (sp) with a bridge of "I think I need another drink".

Yeah, as you guys mentioned, I always thought Peruna was a sort of drinking song. People complain about "why do we have a stupid fight song", but I think that's as classic as it gets: prohibition, students stumbling around drinking medicinal alcohol, at some point someone changes the words to "she'll be comin round the mountain" to describe the situation, and before you know it, it's the fight song at SMU sporting events for the next 80 years.

And for those wanting a more "traditional" sounding fight song, thats what Pony Battle Cry, Go Mustangs Go, Mighty Mustang Thunder, etc are for.
