Ought To Be A RuleI would like to revisit the “People With Personal Relationships Stop Posting Pleaseâ€
Players/Coaches, etc are, as you point out, in the spotlight. And that doesn't stop when they leave the stadium. These guys are responsible for their actions, on and off the field. Don't blame "anonymous posters" for calling anyone out for poor behavior, etc. Taking responsiblity for your actions is part of growing up, and athletes will learn that one day or another.
And consider this: look at former Texas Longhorn Buck Burnette, who was dismissed from the team for posting a "racially insensitive" (to be nice about it) on facebook after the election. Is he complaining about fans who are upset and criticizing him? Absolutely not. In fact, he has personally responded to each person who has emailed him regarding the incident, acknowledging his poor judgement and apologizing. I am not against anyone posting on PF.com (except maybe stallion), but I do not agree that off field behavior is off limits. And please recognize that I have never posted about off field behavior...except JW beating some [deleted]. It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!
who the F cares about your dumb rule???
NOT ME and those other people posting personal relationship things. this is an OPEN forum and anyone can join. the more the merrier. the mods will take care of the whack jobs that go overboard!

Derail the Frogs!
I agree with the OP to a point. I do not think one should anonymously post undocumented and non public actions about anyone - especially our student athletes on our fan board. The JWill matter became public and a fair topic. The suspensions of players is public and a fair topic. "X was seen doing Z Friday night." posted anonymously can be a lie and damage "X." Our fan board should have higher standards than the Enquirer.
But, I ask the OP what specific post is he concerned about.? I haven't seen anyone that would break his rule or my amended rule.
