What does the Bi week do for us?

Postby ponyte » Mon Nov 17, 2008 4:31 pm

With two weeks to prepare for USM, will it help any? Will we get some folks healthy? Will we make in progress with the offense and defense?

As bad as thing s have been. At least we have decent uniforms with the correct colors.

It gives us a chance to experiment while maintaining that we're straight.

Oh wait, were you talking about the Bye Week?

Those are not the correct colors. Never have been. Just because the Pony Express wore those colors and they were the best team money could buy, don't think that going back to those colors is going to make our current team another Pony Express. We have a unique color scheme of Yale Blue and Harvard Crimson. Our current uniform blue looks like Kansas, Tulsa and Memphis blue.

The SMU flag that flys above the south end of the stadium and the cheerleader uniforms are the correct colors.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Can't use'em. Screws up the fight song.

Truth in advertising?
