The Great State Of DFWaccording to Texas Football if the DFW Metroplex was a State it would produce the FOURTH highest number of Division 1 High School Signees. The numbers 1) Texas 345 15.5%, 2)Calf 285 12.8%, 3) Florida 265 11.9%, THE GREAT STATE OF DFW 136 or approximately 6.2% 4) Georgia 123 5)Ohio119, 6) Louisiana 89, 7)Alabama 76,

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: The Great State Of DFWThat's what Fran said when he took the TCU job. Look for A$M to want to schedule some games in Dallas during his tenure...probably against UNT in Texas Stadium, or possibly against SMU if we would play them in Texas Stadium. I'm not sure he will voluntarily play TCU.
I also seem to recall Dave Bliss, when he took the SMU job, saying he could put a top 25 team on the court if he could just land one of the top players from Dallas every year.
Re: The Great State Of DFWNo way Franocchio plays TCU. And I doubt he'd play us with Coach Bennett getting better athletes in here every year. No, we're not on the same level (YET!) as the aggies, but the more athletic a team becomes, the more dangerous it becomes, and if A&M was to play SMU, and everything went right (the refs had a lopsided game, the ball bounced our way, the moon aligned with the stars....) so that SMU somehow won, can you imagine watching Fran trying to spin that for the aggie faithful? He has nothing to gain by playing SMU or TCU - same with Texas - because they already recruit so well in DFW.
Re: The Great State Of DFWA&M is probably wanting to have a few games in DFW especially since Baylor, OSU, UT, and TT have them here. My guess is that he'll pursue games at either SMU or UNT. No way he subjects himself to a game at TCU. If he wants SMU at Texas Stadium or the Cotton Bowl, he'll have to agree to a two for two (home/home) series. I'm not giving him an "in" to the Dallas recruiting market without an even number of dates. This is where Bennett being an ex-Aggie might help us.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: The Great State Of DFWAnd there should be some kind of pay-out for SMU going down there. I don't mind playing them in Texas Stadium, but it has to be a money-making venture for SMU or it's not worth it.
