PonyFans.com is proud to have former SMU center Donatas Rackauskas join our team as our new expert basketball analyst. Donatas will share his insights into the team, practices, offseason training, games ... and inside the mind of Coach Doherty, for whom Donatas played in his senior season.

In his first column, Donatas talks about what the players go through to prepare for each season, and how important time management is for the college student-athlete.

Rack Attack! Thanks for the great article.

As a former player under Dement, Tubbs, and Doherty, it would be great to hear from you sometime comparing and contrasting what it was like as a player under each coach. Just a potential idea for a future article.

Thanks for your contributions.

Loved watching The Rack play - win or lose, the guy always seemed to play with passion.

Can't wait to read what The Rack has to say ... especially about his old coach.

Where's Castro? Did he retire?
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
