Dereck Williams making a big difference in this game. McCoy/Williams maybe a huge feather in Doherty's cap of signing key players to turn a weakness into a strength in one year.

I was hoping that Williams would be more of a scorer than a facilitator

Williams and McCoy were big signings. We pretty much need them and Dia to play big every game to have a chance. McCoy has a nice line, getting some boards and assists.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

mix in Faye in the 2nd half and you see how this COULD come together.

one concern is the lack of free throws....we didn't shoot one in the 2nd half. Against bigger and better teams when our outside shots aren't falling, we need someone who can take the ball to the hole and get to the line.

I was happy to see Haynes get some time and end w/5pts. How did he look? How about Otis?
What's wrong w/Alex Malone? I really expected him to be a consistent double digit scorer this year.
Gotta get 2 more this weekend! Go Ponies!
