Here's the thing, we have some athletes. What we don't have is discipline on offense or defense. This weekend, new thread on Doh and his shortcomings on the sideline. As a coach, he's not getting it done. As a recruiter, he's doing ok, but we need a legit big. I can't even comprehend what is going on w/Dia
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

you guys have pretty much summed it up. Not surprising that mccoy was flat tonight, a freshman is not going to do it every night, but we got our answer about how the sophomore class was going to bounce back after terrible night vs. ISU. with a worse night against our rival.
thought the refs were ludicrously bad tonight. The whistles for traveling and fouls were very quick on the red shirts tonight. doh needs to stand up for his players once in a while. sometimes a T can get your team fired up on the road where you have to inspire an us against the world mentality. even in a mausoleum like DMC. that crowd and atmosphere looked like the worst college bball game of all time. the sad part is, tcu is a bad basketball team and so beatable.

That was embarrassing to watch even alone in the privacy of my home.
Good grief even the BB team is small and can't play "D".
I know you guys warned me that being an SMU fan required fortitude but can't we beat TCU in anything but Rugby?
SMU - IT'S YOUR TURN FIRE JUNE JONES USC Trojan for Life and SMU Dad!

Difference between SMU and TCU...
SMU preaches Top 25...
TCU practices Top 25...
HUGE difference between the two programs. TCU basketball is awful, but they're spending the moeny where they need to and hiring coaches that have promise.
SMU is dropping big money on "big name" coaches and marketing, yet skimming money from support staff, athletic programs, etc. We have the money to support quality programs, but I'm afraid that money is being handled poorly.

It doesn't look like it. Maybe your kid should have gone to TCU if you wanted to watch winning sports teams.

Yeah, but then she would have missed out on an SMU education...SMU is still the right choice, no matter how much we suck in athletics.

Can we petition PF.com for an Education board since that's the last thing we have to take pride in?

Once again, we are the "cross-town" whipping boys!! We have clearly become TCU's !itch in the world of college athletics and do not appear to be closing the gap under Steve Orsini than we were doing under Jim Copeland.

Refs may have been bad (TCU 18 fouls, SMU 20), but what good would free throws have done us? We hit only 6 of 13. And who is the genius who schedules what could be a good rivalry game on THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!@? Probably not 100 students there combined from the two schools.

I don't understand our schedule. We play 2 games in the next 18 days.
Explain that? Is Robo going on vacation or what?
This makes no sense to me. I don't see other D1 schools doing this.

My understanding is that it is done to help the players concentrate on their finals.

They need to get their priorities straight
I understand that but, I don't see other teams taking that long of a break. Only having 2 games in the next 18 days is not enough.
major scheduling problem IMO.

quite frankly another reason it was probably done is because Faye does not become eligible until the end of the first semester which should be about December 15-Doherty probably wanted to play less games where he wasn't availiable.
