TCU refund!

Postby ALEX LIFESON » Wed Nov 26, 2008 11:55 pm

Just got back fron Cowtown. Anyone that invested their time, money, and effort, to see that trash SMU trotted out on the floor tonight, should be reimbursed!!!! We were beat in every stat that is kept, and even those that are not kept on paper. Papa has ZERO heart, he does not want to play basketball, and should be cut from the team.

Sorry you wasted your time going over to Ft. Worth. I wasted my time watching the mtn network with friends, but at least I got to enjoy my friend Captain Morgan!
So Papa Dia had offers from Louisville and other big programs...had he gone there, would he be a better player under Pitino? Or would he have been run off because of his work ethic?
I ask that same question about BHop. I love that he came to SMU, but I think he would've been a lot better off going to UT!

Outside of raising money, the Steve Orsini era is looking like a continuation of the Jim Copeland era. Has any SMU program gotten better since he took over?

I must say as a first year booster of Football & Basketball, I am disappointed …

For the athletic department to be successful at SMU their going to need a lot more of what I and a few others represent. Non Alum bringing bodies and money to games. Who wants to represent a school that looks lazy, sloppy, and can’t seem to win?

I seek nothing in return from SMU on a personal level. I am not looking for new clients for my business, I don’t want to network at SMU social events. I just want to support a local school that will be competitive!

I’m not giving up. I expect the same from the top administration down to the last tall player on the court.

Sorry I didn't see you at the game. Agree about Papa...he looked totally disinterested - first time I've ever really seen him play in person. Very surprised at how poorly SMU looked - turnovers, lack of execution on offense, inability to take advantage of size in the middle. Coach Doh ain't getting it done.

I stayed late at work to watch the game from my office on Direct TV, afterwards I told myself I won’t be doing that again.

Same thing with FB…after their blow-up I canceled my El Paso trip.

Thanks for your support Alex and One Trick, SMU certainly needs more fans like you.

Glad I went to the Caps game instead of watching the SMU game on TV.

Doherty on this year's leader:

“Right now, the leadership role is kind of up in the air. And it’s coming from, probably, me more than any of the players. I hope that someone can step forward and be that leader that we’re looking for.â€

After doing business in Fort Worth for a little while now, there is one simple but very telling and significant issue to their success. Fort Worth is all about TCU and TCU is all about Fort Worth. Both entities realize that their relationship between each other is vital to each other's success.

As much as I don't like TCU, I think we should figure out how to draw upon this model.
