Flower Mound WR/DB Collin Ashley is one of them coming. He's about 6-0, 185 and runs a legit 4.4 in the 40. He can flat out run.
As a junior, he tied the school single-season interception record with 8.
As a senior, they switched him to WR full time. He pushed about 1,000 yds and had about 17 TDs and averaged more than 13 yds (fixed) per catch.
Wake Forest offered him in the summer but that appears to have fallen off. He's going to K-State next week.
I always wondered why this staff didn't look at him more seriously until now. Not sure if they are looking at him as a WR or DB but he can do both.
I'm told we have NOT offered.

General comments about recruiting developments. Rienbold may have some competition from Odum in the "cool dude" recommendations from prospective recruits. Seems to be a strong recruiter to go along with Rienbold. Its good to see Jones is actively involved in personally visiting so many recruits in their homes-the gripe from Hawaii fans has always been that Jones was lazy when it came to recruiting. That may have had a lot to do with Hawaii's meager recruiting budget and the distance from Hawaii's prospects home. You guys that don't have the Rivals SMU premium package are really missing out on an unprecedented level of coverage of SMU recruiting. Scout does a good job too. Just drop the Dallas Morning News and get these subscriptions.

and you'll be wasting both time and money. Everything those sites "dig up" appears in the DMN within a day or two and here before that ... for free.

Silk-you look so foolish to anyone who subscibes-the Pony Express page every Friday is about 20 times what you get in the DMN.

Silk, not trying to dog-pile you, but, anything you get in the DMN is old news.

That's true, but the DMN still reports what Rivals gives them, and their website is free. Until February, a day or two on an "announcement" doesn't matter. Silk's right - it ends up here, anyway.

Not yet, but you can read about that in 2 or 3 days in the DMN.

Could you believe what Middleton had to say about his visit to SMU mrydel? Wow I wish I could share with everybody! Too bad we can't share-but they'll read about it someday anyway in the DMN so they probably don't really care anyway.
