The interview with Conroy Black was very cool, getting quotes as they board the plane?

I love the competition between Scout and Rivals. Scout coming on strong today. An SMU fan can now see his team covered like only the Big Schools used to be.

Scout counterpunches with a separate "rumored" commitment.

Thanks for letting me know. Just read the Black article as he was boarding the plane. Think we are in on him with that last visit next week coming up. When he compares Dallas to that town, I think we have a definite edge.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

I don't have a subscription to that site so I don't know what you linked. If they are saying we offered, they're wrong.
But all I can tell you is that Ashley went to SMU this weekend, liked the staff and DID NOT get an offer. Apparently, there is a numbers issue. And I guess that's the cased basedon the CBs and WRs we have in the fold?
He's going to K-State next weekend.

I thought it was hilarious. It really makes me wonder what he was expecting when he got on the plane lol.

George S. Patton wrote:Flower Mound WR/DB Collin Ashley is one of them coming. He's about 6-0, 185 and runs a legit 4.4 in the 40. He can flat out run.
As a junior, he tied the school single-season interception record with 8. As a senior, they switched him to WR full time. He pushed about 1,000 yds and had about 17 TDs and averaged more than 13 yds (fixed) per catch.
Wake Forest offered him in the summer but that appears to have fallen off. He's going to K-State next week.
I always wondered why this staff didn't look at him more seriously until now. Not sure if they are looking at him as a WR or DB but he can do both.
I'm told we have NOT offered.
This site has him ranked as the 9th best CB in the state (scroll down & you will see his ranking)

Kansas State didn't offer him either. Not to sound racist but it really appears to me that since he is white and 4.4, it seems like he is too good to be true.
If that theory is true, a lot of programs may be missing out on him. Kudos to the program that has the nerve to bring Ashley on board.

the scouting reports on Ashley is that he doesn't appear to really run a 4.4 as claimed in unverified reports and has trouble staying with receivers in straight out speed. Some of the videos I've seen seem to bear that out. Here's a scouting report that may explain why teams aren't junmping on him with offers.
