How about that Rice (Directional) Michigan matchup?
Remember that the Houston/Air Force game at Ford had 2 attendance issues:
1) Last minute move from Houston to Dallas
2) Houston fans were worried more about a Hurricane blowing over their house vs. making the drive to Dallas to cheer on their team

Having said that, the crowd won't be above 25k.
I disagree. If the weather is ok then I bet there will be 35K. There should be a nice TCU fan turnout to support Air Force and Houston brought a good crowd the last time they played in this bowl game.
Not a great year for bowl match ups. Too many games with no interest. In fact, it will be interesting to see if there will be any TV ratings for the preponderance of the games. Worse than last year in my opinion and last year was not good. Also, take special notice of all the empty seats and lack of interest for all but the BCS games. The time has come for a playoff system whereby the games can be made to have significant interest, regardless of the matchup, based on playoff importance.

I hope so. Would like to see that game stick around for a while. Nice to have a 2nd bowl game in the area.
On another note, I am looking forward to the TCU vs. Boise State matchup. Should be another competitive game.

FWIW - last years attendance for AFA/Cal was 44,009. Pretty sure that's tickets sold and not butts in seats but it was a real good crowd either way.
La. Tech will at least bring 15-20K to the bowl game in state. So, the organizers are probably happy with them. No. Ill. wont' bring many fans. Boise-TCU is a great match-up. Probably the best pre- New Year's Bowl. There's always boring match-ups and then some intriquing match-ups. Ga. Tech vs. LSU in Atlanta is an interesting pick. Utah -Alabama will be interesting since UT runs the same offense as Florida. Otherwise, except for OU-FL, the rest of the bowls are pretty forgettable.
