Interesting.... but I really have no problem with it being called Yale. But then again, maybe it's just because I am used to it. But still, I hear Yale and I think higher education, so it works for me. TURN HERE AND KEEP GOING TOWARDS EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION!!! That's what I think, at least.

I agree. Yale was probably fine with most of us. Your ideas about the name "Yale" also makes sense. After all, our school color blue IS "Yale blue" - not this ridiculous "royal" blue.

I can't find Harvard blvd nor Princeton blvd in University Park. I like SMU Boulevard, means it runs through and near SMU.

Princeton and Harvard are streets in Highland Park south of and parallel to Beverly Drive.

Harvard is the road that turns into Bishop. Hence, SMU is at the intersection of HARVARD and YALE.

You're right. I always got lost down there.

Looking at the google map, Harvard turns into Hillcrest. Same logic applies.

Don't worry someone will decide to change Mockingbird to George W. Bush Drive and then on the other side of Central Expressway it will be Barak Obama Avenue.

OFFICIAL ACTION TAKEN TODAY BY DALLAS CITY COUNCIL:

├â┬ó├óΓÇÜ┬¼├é┬óThe council changed the name of Yale Boulevard to SMU Boulevard, from Central Expressway to Greenville Avenue. The change was made at the request of Southern Methodist University.
