The guy is 6-4, but doesn't really have any quality offers yet. Apparently a possible connection to the Hunt family. You recruiting guys know anything about this guy?

It's amazing to actually be a little ahead of the recruiting timeline of the past. I mean, how do the coaches know who to target when they don't even know who's going to make it to the SMU Camp this Summer?

Also outside the 150 mile recruiting radius, or whatever it was.

Kids and their HS coaches have a way of finding colleges with systems in which they have an interest. The Scout's article on this kids indicated that he changed high schools this year to be the QB of an open R&S offensive scheme. In addition, he initiated contact by sending in his highlight film into JJ and has committed to attending the SMU camp this summer. You are absolutely right: this is what a proven and credible coach brings to a program. It make take JJ 3/4 years to put the pieces together; however, it is going to happen. Stay tuned and stay positive as more of these kids are going to come into focus.

He plays for Darlington in North Georgia. They compete in single-A, the smallest classification for Georgia athletics. However, Darlington has had great programs in the past, and they compete in the GHSA with all of the schools, not the sissy GISA private school conference. He could be an interesting one to watch. This year's A classification had some really great teams, and I'd love to see a Georgia boy on the roster.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

Wonder if Jones puts as much stock in SMU's camp as Bennett...
Wonder if Jones gets better play as coach of SMU's camp than Bennett...

Go figure.

I do know Bennett did not have a good track record with his qbs. JJ has a history of success and knows this offense. He knows what throws his qbs need to be able to make to be successful in it. JJ is recruiting from a larger pool than Bennett. I also doubt JJ requires a kid to attend his camp for a scholarship to be offered. I think JJ will take the best players avaialble regardless of whether or not a kid attended a camp.
