ROUNDBALL REWIND with Katie Remke Seal: One game at a time

Postby PonyPride » Sat Dec 13, 2008 3:12 am

The SMU women's basketball team endured a lopsided loss Sunday in College Station. After losing five seniors in last year's senior class, the Mustangs have a young team that faces the risk of hangover from the loss heading into Sunday afternoon's home game against North Texas and Tuesday's home game against Dartmouth. Our Katie Remke Seal says that now more than ever, the Ponies must come together as they regroup and continue preparation for the Conference USA games that start next month.

Excellent read. She's exactly right - the margin at A&M was a little tough to take, but losing a game by any margin all counts the same ... as does winning by any margin. As young as we are, we can't worry about style points at the moment.
What worries me is that North Texas was a decent team last year, and this year they appear to be better. They almost got a road win UNM, which is a good team.
Come on, Mustangs - got to bring the A game Sunday afternoon.

Looks like Katie was exactly right — and apparently the Ponies read her column. Nice win over NTSU (which was better than I thought they would be). Time for another win Tuesday over Dartmouth.

GO PONIES!
