SMU can qualify for TARP funds!

Postby Blue Horseshoe » Tue Dec 16, 2008 1:36 am

Does this sound familiar:

* An institution that was considered a leader back in the day.
* High paid executives.
* Performance has been extremely lacking even in their own peer group.
* Even though institution has remained uncompetitive, executives get higher pay and big bonuses.
* No benefits for those previously connected to the institution.
* The institution is now at a critical point.
* Refuses to admit fault.
* The mustang.

Maybe GW can throw some extra cash our way because our alumni are about to go away.

I'd like to see our guys follow suit and cut their salaries to $1 until progress is made.

If I were Turner, Orsini, Jones and Doherty, I'd make a couple of phone calls to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue immediately...if not sooner.

They need to use the TARP funds to repay those who have season tickets for basketball.

I definitely think they should reimburse season ticket holders. "June Cometh" was a deceptive selling tactic among all the previous marketing campaigns.

I did think this was their way of not being legally liable down the road.
