It might also have contributed to the flat performance of the team last night. While I am happy to see Doh publically chastise the team, I wonder if the real root is that they know they are not getting Faye and that they will struggle this season.
I braved the cold to go to the game last night, and you could just see it coming, we had ZERO inside threat and UAPB knew it.
They can check, but the faculty is under no obligation to say anything, and might well say "when I'm done with all of my students' grades, I'll announce." We've all heard some stories about some faculty not wanting to be flexible to accomodate athletes - maybe Faye's professors fall into that category.
all grades have been posted on access so yes all the athletes know what they have got by now. "There ain't nothing you can't solve with one more beer"
I didn't get one of mine until today. Before anyone asks, no, Mo Faye is not in that class...nor is he in ANY of my classes.
I guess we will find out when everyone gets on the bus in a few minutes per the rivals post. We find out pretty soon.

either he becomes eligible and helps this team this year, or Doherty has another 'ship to work with. The question is whether there is any talent still out there to give this program an immediate impact next year...and whether any player(s) talented enough to have options can be sold on SMU

This is just getting ridiculous. We're getting worse every year and (if Faye did not make grades) there is absolutely no hope for the future. Good thing we've got a 7 ft. project coming in the next class. What's the future for Doh? Because this squad in the next couple of years is going to do NOTHING.
Recruiting means nothing if you screw it up completely on the sidelines. Our team would have had a better shot last night w/out a coach.
I'm hoping this staff fully understood his academic issues with Georgia Tech before it accepted the transfer. It makes you wonder why they were willing to take him if they knew this. You could not have more hype coming from Doherty regarding him. And then all of the sudden, the hype machine is pretty much shut down during the first semester. Good stuff, huh? I'm absolutely tired of getting the smoke blown up my [deleted] with this program.
It's not over yet, there's still a possibility he may get on the court, but if he does play I think you're still going to be dissapointed. Faye hasnt practiced since October, but what I saw of him didnt impress me. He's quick and athletic, he can jump and has a long wingspan, but he has no offensive skills. If he has a clear path to the basket he can throw down a nice looking dunk, but if the path isnt clear he has a problem. He's not strong. He get's pushed around, even by our own posts. He's not what I would call an impact player. Check out his shooting stats from when he was at Georgia Tech, particularly the free throws. You may see what I mean. Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
There are many outstanding unsigned/uncommitted players in the area, state & nationwide. I have seen 6-8 players in the JC & HS ranks this year that could be impact players next season. I plan on seeing many more games in the near future & that number will increase.

He also discussed the grade issue with him on this show which I thought was unusual @ the time. Looking back on it, obviously the concern has been there for sometime. I hope he passed & plays well against the Aggies.
