Mouhammad Faye certainly seems to have brought some toughness. I would not have thought we would be anywhere close in a road game where McCoy and Williams were shooting poorly by their standards.

I hate moral victories but I do think that, contrary to the thoughts of some on this board, that there is a glimmer of hope with Faye in the rotation.

don't overlook Nyakundi's breakout game......we've needed a true outside shooter forever....he could be that guy

18 pts, I was thinking the exact same thing right now.

Dump the Harp minutes, and maybe Haynes. Leave Otis in heavy rotation.
Faye, Fall, Dia, McCoy, Williams. Play 8 is fine.

I have no idea what Doherty is doing with his substitutions……but I like the idea of having 8 in a regular rotation

at least we played a real opponent tonight and at least we didnt lay down.

i am not one of these guys that think rebounding is all hustle and boxing out. Athleticism matters. but we dont box out at all. How many easy put backs are we gonna give up? Frustrating to see an otherwise good effort flushed at the end.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Looking forward to the UTSA and TEAMU-CC games Dec. 29 and on New Year's Eve (and the women's games Dec. 28 vs. the dreaded Pine Bluffers and Dec. 30 at Froggie High ... and yes, I'll be at all four). I'm eager to see Faye in person, and to see if the team can generate this kind of effort again. If so, we'll be competitive in a lot of C-USA games. Not saying for a moment that we'll win them all, but we'll be competitive ... and we'll win some of them. Tonight was encouraging.

It was actually closer than that. We were within 4 or 5 with about 3 minutes to go but when time was running out we had to start fouling and that sent them to the free throw line and they gained some points that way at the end.
