Christine Elliott was terrific today. Seems to be getting more and more confident every time out, and more aggressive. Shot 9-of-13, and that included 2 or 3 misses from short range, or she might have approached 30. Got her second double-double today, and surely has many more in her future - the more she plays, the better she gets.

Jillian Samuels hit a couple of three-pointers, giving her 149 in her career to move ahead of Katie Gross for the second-highest total in SMU history... and she's not yet halfway through her junior season (and frankly hasn't shot as well this year as she did last year - if she gets hot in conference play, she can make a legitimate run at the school record next year. Needs 89 more to break Andrea Cossey's mark.)

The win was a little sloppy today, but winning ugly always is better than not winning, of course. Several players had fairly modest performances, and SMU still won by almost 20 against a team that isn't overly talented but threw in more you've-got-to-be-kidding prayer shots than I've seen in ages.

No kidding! They threw up some serious prayers that were answered.

You're both right.

Give UAPB credit - they came in on a long losing streak (8?) and played hard. They were faster than I thought, and they had one player shooting lights-out in each half. They could have folded and headed for the bus, but they didn't.

Christine Elliott ... is ... awesome.

WTF is your problem?

Everything you say is negative - everything. You make the perceived "doom and gloom crowd" sound like a bunch of cheerleaders. People (including me sometimes) give Stallion a hard time when he says something critical, but more often than not, he backs up his ideas with something that at least resembles the notion of hoping SMU does well. Being constructively critical is fine, but jesus, you just complain for the sake of reminding people that you're good at it.

If ever there was a troll here, you're it.
