A 7-5 team with 3 of the 5 losses on the road. A blowout loss to TCU at home. Their quality win looks to be the opener against Arkansas Pine Bluff .
Has anyone seen these guys play?

They have a really good guard in Cory Higgins who is averaging about 18 points and shooting over 50 percent for the year. After that, there's not much.
They play that princeton style of offense and are coached by the former Air Force coach (name escapes me). They have a bad home loss to Buffalo and got crunched at Vermont by about 30.
What does that mean for SMU's chances? God only knows.

When we played them I was amazed by how bad they were. If they don't finish last in the B12 I will be amazed.

Keep in mind Higgins did not play against us. That team looked absolutely lost on offense and perhaps it was because they were missing this guy. Expect a better team than the one TCU beat earlier this year.

He played 38 minutes and was the high scorer against the Frogs with 16. You must be thinking of someone else.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but according to my program guide, the game is being televised by FSN Rocky Mountain (live at 7:00 CST, with an immediate rebroadcast). Not sure about other carriers, but think you could probably catch it on Directv channel 683, if you have the sports package.

I don't know (much less care) if the Mavericks or Stars play tonight. But if you have Dish Network, check the alternative channels between 442-449 to see if it is listed. That's what happened last year.

Jeff Bzdelik is their coach's name.
The Buffalo and Vermont losses were actually at a tournament in Hawaii, where Colorado beat Coppin State in the first round, but fell apart in the 2nd and 3rd round. They really dont have much depth, and they got progressively worse as the tournament went on. Colorado uses 8 players on a regular basis, but 4 of the starters average more than 30 minutes per game, and beyond those 4, the rest of the roster isnt very productive.
Colorado went 12-20 last year, last in the Big 12, and sophomore Cory Higgins is the only starter returning from that team. Higgins is having a strong year, averaging 18 points a game and also leading the team in rebounds and steals. Higgins shoots a very impressive 52% from the floor and 82% from the line, He's a strong 6'5" guard who does a good job of getting to the basket, but can and will hit from outside the arc, as well. Higgins plays the small forward spot, and if Faye starts Higgins will probably begin the game guarding him. Junior Dwight Thorne (from Arlington Tx.) starts at shooting guard, and averages 12 points per game, and like Higgins he's shooting a very high percentage from the floor (55%). Freshman Nate Tomlinson leads the team in assists (3.5) and also chips in 9 points per game. Tomlinson is the player who missed the TCU game, mentioned above by Reedfrog, he appears to be Colorado's primary ballhandler, although Thorne and Higgins are capable of bringing the ball up the court, as well.
The backcourt is Colorado's strength, but their frontcourt is their weakness, 6'8" freshman Austin Dufault starts in paint for CU and averages almost 10 points a game, but only 3 rebounds. Dufault is a young kid with good upside, but he's light and needs to put on some bulk, against the rest of the Big 12 he's going to get pushed around. Colorado hoped that sophomore Casey Crawford (transfer from Wake Forest) would be a factor inside, but he hasnt shown much willingness to play physically in the paint, particularly on the backboards. Crawford has shown a very nice shooting touch and an ability to score, and at 6'9" 235 he has the body to bang around underneath the backboard, but he doesnt appear to have the will. That's probably why he lost the starting job to Jermyl Jackson-Wilson, the team's only senior. Wilson is undersized for a forward, and doesnt score much, but he's a strong player who has no problem doing the physical dirty work inside. Wilson has been in and out of the lineup during his career at Colorado like a yo-yo, but he did start against SMU last year, where he had 1 point and 6 rebounds. 6'9" freshman Eric Eckhoff will also see some minutes in the frontcourt as backup to both Dufault and Wilson, but he wont put up too many stats, his best game this year was the last one, 6 points and 4 rebounds in the blowout loss to Vermont.
Colorado has used several freshmen off the bench, but for most of them their minutes are inconsistent and production is limited. Sophomore guard Levi Knutson sees regular duty as a backup to Thorne, Higgins, and occassionally Tomlinson. Last year he had his biggest game (10 points) against SMU. This year his shooting percentages have all dropped a bit, but he will still take a couple of shots from long range every game.
Colorado is an undersized team that would like to score in transition, before their opponent has a chance to set up defensively. When they have to run their offense in the halfcourt, they're looking to set up their 3-point shooters, and EVERYBODY will take a couple of shots from long range, even Eckhoff. Crawford is actually one of their best shooters, percentage-wise connecting on 43% from outside the arc. Higgins, Tomlinson and Thorne all have very similar stats, shooting roughly 39% from 3-point range. If they cant get an open look outside, then they will look for their guards and forwards on backdoor cuts, they dont really feed their post players too often, and since they will have a serious size advantage against SMU I dont expect to see thier frontcourt players post up very much, they'll try to keep everyone in motion and force the defense to shift back and forth to create seams for their cutters.
