Now, Illinois fans can tear their hair out wondering WTF Schultz was calling in certain situations.

For TCU, this is definitely addition by subtraction.

General, you are 100% spot-on. Mike Schultz's departure

will likely be well received by the vast majority of Frog fans.

The question that begs to be answered is..who will be Mike's

successor and will this significantly alter the style of offense

that TCU is currently using. :?

I think Schultz Offense is fine but I think the skill position players have fallen off from some prior years. If TCU had better offensive players this year with that defense they probably would have made the BCS. They had the No. 1 rated Defense in the Country and they played a relatively strong schedule. They shut down the Utah, Boise St, BYU offenses and shut down the OU running game like no body else could. They have a great defense.

Stallion, why has the talent at the skill positions fallen off in recent years? I think you know the reason...it starts with an R...

TCU under Schultz has not been known as a team with an exciting offense...they have been known as a team that plays smashmouth football and gets the job done. I would think that it is more difficult to (R word) skill players to a school that does not have a high-flying offense like those that have become so commonplace in college football today.
