SMU going for QB Robert Marve (Miami transfer)Moderators: PonyPride, SmooPower This is very very late in the recruiting season for SEC schools-I'm sure most already have commitments for the number of QBs they want-so there might be some opportunity because he needs to enroll within days. Of course, a school with a deperate need may always make room. South Carolina might be a good option. The opportunity would be because of the timing.
Miami is in coral gables---shit town...not south beach...SMU is a better greek party school than most, inc. Miami.
You being from baylor really should have no opinion on the matter...unless we are talking about waco bashes with david koresh...

My roommate at Baylor had a brother who went to Miami and invited us down for a weekend...SMU does not compare to the partying that was there (been to SMU parties as well). Does it really matter? No...I hope Marve goes to SMU though.
You must have been going to the wrong parties
This is all pretty stupid - do you really want a QB to pick his school based on where he can party the hardest?
![]() We aren't looking to recruit [deleted] frat boys here (we've got the market pretty cornered on that one) - we need a skilled QB with his head on straight, something there's been a true shortage of at SMU for quite some time.

Wait ... he can't be any good if he's only 6'1"!
I'd call it a longshot, but wouldn't it be cool to see two Miami transfers end up at SMU? I'd guess that might make other guys considering a transfer cast an eye in our direction, too.
