Anyone tried an AT&T (HTC) Tilt phone?

I need to finally get a new phone, but I don't really like the way apple jams all its software down your throat and am trying to avoid iphone if possible.

Anyone tried the Tilt? They are available cheap and packed with features, but I've heard people had problems.

I went to the AT&T website and it said the Tilt is no longer available, just the Fuze

You can still get it as a refurb which makes me somewhat nervous, but it is $100 vs $300 for the Fuze.

I have a Tilt. It's essentially the same as the previous Cingular 8525. No complaintes about the Tilt so far. I've had it for about 6 months. Not as fun as the iPhone, but I use it primarily for work anyway. Easy to type, which is the main reason I got it to begin with. Locked up maybe once or twice in this span, which is great.
