You guys remember this game?
That's when I was like damn, this Bledsoe guy is good. It's really ashame how his pro career really just, I don't know... evaporated. But I won't forget watching that game. (It was against UCLA.... and I don't recall whether I saw the game or saw the highlights, but I remember that was about the time I started to really watch other college athletes that didn't go to school at SMU or nearby... Bledsoe, was the first for me of watching other players afar.)
EDIT: I guess this should have been in the other Wazzu thread... but whatever. Sure thing? Yeah, okay. I think JJ will have our guys ready. I think both teams will come out hungry in this one. And, of course, both teams should be 1-0 going into the game. It will be a make or break game for both.

In a game that was to be remembered as the "Snow Bowl," the Cougars dominated the Huskies and in the process clinched a berth to the Copper Bowl. One of the most remembered plays in WSU history occurred in this game when Drew Bledsoe hit Phillip Bobo with a 44-yard touchdown pass that concluded with Bobo sliding in to a snow bank at the end of the endzone. Shaumbe Wright-Fair rushed for 194 yards, averaging 8.7 yards per carry, and scored on runs of 3, 51 and 41 yards. The Cougars capped the season with a 31-28 win over Utah in the Copper Bowl.

Good thing you weren't in the wedding, Thad, because a cummerbund would not have looked nearly as good as the tie around your head. But hey, we all have a picture of ourselves that is similar to that one, right?

alright, so what do you suggest? DFW-Seattle on Friday, hang out in Seattle, then Seattle to the Lubbock of Washington Saturday, back after the game, fly back Sunday morning?
No offense, but what vocation other than teaching at WSU requires one to live in Pullman?

it occurred to me that if we win this game that we will be headed in the right direction....and wazzu with all their fans will be at a new low, embarrassed, and leadign the charge on the bottom 10.
we are the dream takers.
