Another Top JC QB Lists SMU

Postby Stallion » Mon Nov 17, 2003 6:22 pm

According to Rivals QB Justin Allgood 6-2, 200 4.7 of Trinity Valley JC and The Colony is listing SMU as the only listed school he is considering but there is no story other than that-but he is a well regarded prospect that I'm aware of. Max Emfinger has him listed as one of the Top 5 JC QBs in the country as a 4 star(which he correlates to one of the Top 300 players in the Country) (Of course, Emfinger lists a lot of kids who will never get an offer as a 4 star so I'm always skeptical of his ratings-but that's just my experienced prejudice against the guy.) But Allgood was the Preseason First Team JUCO All-American QB according to NJCAA. He had a great freshman year when he threw for 2007 yards and 15 TDs. As a senior Allgood was 130 of 263 for 2049 yards and 17 TDs. According to Emfinger The Top rated JUCO QB is Robert Johnson who committed to Tech and he is a 5 star. Both Allgood and Dane King are listed as 2 of the other 4 four stars. Note that the recruitment of King is heating up as he has visits scheduled for Baylor(11/28), Kansas(12/12), Hawaii(12/19) and Louisiana Tech (12/5)-no mention of a visit to SMU and time is growing short. For those of you that don't follow JC recruiting the signing date is usually around December 15 so that is less than a month away. King has offers from all the above schools.

I saw those two kids on Emfinger's list; I wondered if SMU was considering either. A couple of weeks ago, I heard we were pursuing a juco QB in California. Any clue who that might be?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I think that kid-is it David Korel from a California JC-I think went to Vanderbilt out of high school if its the same guy I read about last year. I wouldn't be surprised if we've made a pass at him but I'm guessing.

So who's better - Allgood or Dane King?

or Wilmott too. Don't know but King appears to have the most and best offers.
