at least until the Moody improvements are done
making the hallways wider i wonder if they could hawk dogs, sodas, peanuts with vendors walking thru the stands or is the incline of the stands too much for someone carrying sellables? they could sell a butt-load of food and drinks this way because the fans dont have to miss any of the action. ![]() C-ya @ Milos!
I really cannot stand TCU, BUT, you're right - they've got it together on so many fronts. I think a fan gets the absolute most for their entertainment dollar at TCU athletic events - I speak for football, basketball, baseball, soccer - promotions, game day experience, concessions, spirit items, support personnel, cheerleaders/spirit groups --- SMU does have a nicer stadium, better basketball configuration and a ten-times-better band. We'd do well to try to get to the TCU-level in several areas. We're treading water.
This is so true. When I traveled over to Ft. Worthless the day before Thanksgiving for the SMU game, it was a great experience, besides getting our butts whupped.
Free parking by the stadium, multiple ticket lines open, all concession stands open. This all despite the crowd was smaller than most Moody games. TCU realizes that the key is to ensure people DON't wait in lines, have everything open, so someone can run right up, buy something and then get back to the game. I remember going to the Ark-Pine Bluff game this year, sure, was a small crowd, but SMU had ONE ticket window open and ONE concession stand in all of Moody open. So in inspite of only a few hundred fans in attendance, they still managed to [deleted] me off by waiting in line for a ticket and a hot dog when there should have been no reason for that. Sounds like a religious experience.
Prerequisite.
I'm just thinking, if I know I'm going to the game, go ahead and get my ticket. And get there early enough so that I may stand in line and get my hot dog.
Just seems like we get tired of complaining about losing, so we find something/anything else to complain about.
When you pay year-in and year-out to watch a sh*tty product the least you can hope for is to get a hot dog in a reasonable amount of time.
have you been to a Division 1 game anywhere else? Does it not bother you that SMU runs some things half-assed?
