The keeper's dreaded event returns Feb. 4

Postby George S. Patton » Wed Jan 14, 2009 4:52 pm

Yes, it's the backslapping, good time feeling National Signing Day reception at the Radisson this coming Feb. 4 at 6 p.m., I think.

Mustang Club members probably got their e-mail invitation. There is no charge for the event. I forgot what the whole e-mail said. But they planned it early enough so you can get over in time to watch Doherty's team get its [deleted] handed to it by Memphis.

Will I be there? Tune in and see.

Who really cares if you will be there? There are plenty who will be.

I smell upset.

Wait, never mind, I farted. But I still say we win!

I have no problem with him. He's just a little put off by me. But that's fine.

Could you be just a little bit more in love with yourself?

And it's not his event, or anyone else's ... it's ours, as PonyFans.

If you don't want to go to the 'signing day' event, you can always go over to Moody Coliseum for the SMU Christian Men's Leadership Series with guest speaker Bob Beaudine discussing his new book 'The Power of Who' prior to the SMU v Memphis men's basketball game. Call Randell Holmes at 214-768-1075 or email him at [email protected] for more information.

It would be nice if people would really not read TOO MUCH into these posts when I write something like the above that was quoted. I don't take these personal insults too seriously. Why? It's a chat board.

But then again, you can believe what you want to believe. If you don't believe in yourself, who will? Think about that.

These two events should not be scheduled head-to-head, since there might well be people who would like to attend both.

I'll be in town, and I'll be at the DoubleTree.

You are absolutely correct. The organizers were made aware of the scheduling conflict after Bob Beaudine was already booked. They regret the conflict and hope that as many SMU fans will attend as possible.

T-minus 1 week and counting.

Will the keeper come to this event?
