UPDATE: Tech 4 star WR commit Emory Blake says he doesn't really consider himself committed to Tech anymore-so Tech is back down to 3 Receiver commitments. So they won one and (may have) lost one today.

UPDATE 2-
Texas Tech Rivals board is reported that one of Tech's most experienced receivers has left the team so its likely Tech is going to go after some more receivers. Don't know name yet but it should break soon.

BY DON WILLIAMS BR> AVALANCHE-JOURNAL
Texas Tech wide receiver Todd Walker has decided to give up football, his position coach Dennis Simmons said Wednesday. "He's going to finish out the semester and graduate early and go to dental school,'' Simmons said. Walker has one year of football eligibility remaining. He battled injuries that often kept him off the field for the Red Raiders. Walker's best season was in 2006, when he caught 21 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns. In the season just completed, he had seven catches for 37 yards

Just another reason for me to hate Tech. I hope we can keep Darius, but I won't be surprised now. Hopefully he'll see the opportunity here to build something vs going to Tech where they likely peaked last year for the foreseeable future.
Time will tell, I guess.

Oh, for God's sake. Knock it off.
So Pony Up isn't allowed to give an opinion that seems to be based on published reports. Check. George S. Patton wrote:OK, so you agree that his comment was asinine. Thanks.
And where did I say he couldn't post an opinion? He posted one. And then I posted one. It is a message board.
A) Nobody seems to have agreed that his opinion was asinine  just that he has an opinion.
B) You are allowed to do exactly what you suggested someone else couldn't  give an opinion on a message board. (For what it's worth, I've read several stories suggesting the same thing, that we'll be lucky to hang on to this guy. But surely those stories don't matter.)
Oh, wait  you're exempt from the rule because your opinion will change after each game.
Check.

Weren't we interested in Blake before he committed to Red Raider High?

Wow. But in any event, I'll let you and some others worry about Darrius Johnson for me.
