Still in the runningRivals says SMU is still in the running for Marlin DB Matterial Matterial Richardson (5-foot-10, 195 pounds, 4.5). Rivals says that in addition to SMU, Richardson is still considering Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and TCU.
SMU! SMU! SMU!
Re: Still in the runningWonderful...another 5-10 corner back...Heres hoping he has fabulous awarenes...
Geaux Ponies and Geaux LSU!
Re: Still in the runningI don't care if he's 4'10". If OU, Arkansas, and Colorado are going after him, he must be legit.
The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

Re: Still in the runningYeah, but that's a THICK and fast 5-10. If he grows any more, bingo - you've got a nice safety on your hands.
And at CB, 5-10 isn't that short. Not huge, but certainly servicable. If those numbers are real, he's not small.
Re: Still in the runningEverything I've read suggests he's more than legit. I gather he's an exceptional player, as is his teammate, DB D'Nerian Wrighter (I think that's his name). Are we still in the hunt on him?

Re: Still in the runningThe real question is whether HE is interested in those teams or if THEY are interested in him? Does anyone know? People on this board seem to get really excited when big teams are listed as having interest...but people don't realize that interest doesn't mean much...depends on who has the interest...him or them?

Re: Still in the runningNot to butt in, but Richardson can bring it, he is a solid tackler and has good hands/speed. In a TCU scheme, he is a safety, but would be a LB for most schools ifhe adds a little more bulk. Wrighter no longer lists SMU but do not know if that matters.
A lot of schools Ark, OK, Colo, & TCU are hoping to land both, but do not think they are headset on both going to the same school.
Re: Still in the runningit may matter because they have hinted they may want to play on the same team. How does a kid 5-10, 195 project to a LB? Wrighter is the kid who has a bigger frame that might project to LB.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Still in the runningNo question he would have to add some bulk to be a LB. The reason he may end up there is because he is a huge hitter and really loves to bring it.
Re: Still in the runningWell, D.D. Johnson is listed at 6 feet, but I've met him, and he's probably closer to 5-10. Not ideal size, but he's played pretty well for the Ponies. Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
