Gotta respect the gratuitous Seinfeld reference.

Wasn't there a song with those lyrics in it.
I think it went "War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing."

I can't remember who sings it.

motown classic. edwin starr (although that may not be the proper spelling).

I'm embarassed to say that I remember Frankie Goes to Hollywood doing a cover of the song in the '80's too.

Elaine: Oh! Don't you know what this means, it's like working with Tolstoy!

Jerry: Hey ya know what I read the most unbelievable thing about Tolstoy the

other day, did you know the original title for "War and Peace" was

"War--What Is It Good For?"!

Elaine: Ha ha.

Jerry: No, no.. I'm not kidding Elaine it's true, his mistress didn't like

the title and insisted him change it to "War and Peace"!

Elaine: But it's a line from that song!

Jerry: That's were they got it from!

I am wondering if Rich Rodriguez and Michigan are like oil and water? I haven't heard a lot of positives since he took that job over.

South Grand Prairie's Dewayne Peace has settled on Arizona after originally dropping Michigan -- the Wolverines were asking him to play cornerback, but Peace was looking to run at WR, and Arizona gave him that chance. Friendswood's Andre Gautreaux, after an earlier courtship with Wyoming, has chosen Rice -- his versatile talents will be a good fit for an Owls squad looking to fill in some offensive blanks. And Texarkana Texas High's Cobi Hamilton, despite offers from a number of other BCS programs (including UT) has chosen Arkansas -- I guess that's closer to home than an in-state school when you're out in Texarkana.

ROLLISON SETTLES ON AUBURN (1/27/09)
All season long, the eyes of Texas were cast on Lake Travis QB Garrett Gilbert; record-setter, state champ, Messiah. If you have an accolade, it's likely he's heard it. But fast on his heels was Sulphur Springs QB Tyrik Rollison, also a state champ and (in any other year) record-setter. Part of Gilbert's incredible media hype came from his early and decisive commitment to the University of Texas -- the hometown boy providing the face for his hometown school. Rollison, on the other hand, remained a mystery ... until now.
