Scouting Report on Morestead

Another guy who is deserving of a mention is SMU punter Thomas Morstead.

That's right, a punter.

Before Morstead's name was called out, I thought for sure that they were measuring and weighing a well-conditioned linebacker. He was solid at 6-foot-4 (6042) and 228 pounds. And he had a swagger that projected the confidence of a player who knocks people to the ground—rather than one who kicks a football

Maybe they thought Kellis Cunningham's hit against Memphis was Morstead? He's not a big tackler, but he sure is big and a great punter.

Good luck, Thomas.

Is that Baylor All-American Punter in the NFL?

To answer my own question: Yes. He was drafted in the 4th round by the Steelers, but is on injured reserve. Daniel Sepulveda
