I thought high schools were getting bigger and faster - whats with all these shorties? 5-8 to 5-9 CB's will be giving up 6-8 inches on the best college WR's - and it will be OSU all over again. Drop back - throw it up, they both jump up - touchdown ______(fill in blank with opponent of the day).

Possible addition to aid Phillips, receiving yards / completions, his old go to receiver / DB will graduate at Bishop Lynch.
He missed last year with a broken leg and is back to full speed this year. With Phillips at SMU Lynch has had a down year in the passing attack but he has made the catches which counts.
Of course the opposing teams do not throw his way much which means his plays are catch up tackles in the middle or tackles on the other side of the field.
Possible the best player on the field for Lynch.
( Remember KG / Cunningham ) he could be both in one.
Listed as 5-9 / 145
WR/CB Michael James
Ht: 5-10 Wt: 155 40: 4.4
Dallas, Texas
Vertical Jump: 38.7"
Reports having "High" interest in SMU, Texas A&M, TCU & Rice.
We missed on Ryan Moats because of his size but got Chris because of his all round ability, what do we do about this one ?

BTW - I'm very bias towards Bishop Lynch & it's players.

BTW the kids aren't getting smaller-its just that the heights and weights are much more accurate because they are measured at numerous camps these days.

Is he related to T.J. James, also of Lynch descent?

Re: Julian Norman
If you're 5-8, you need to be a CB and run a 4.3.
5-8 safeties - especially at that speed - don't make it at D-IA schools.

Sure thing, speed kills but if you don't know how to read / run routes then it's all for nothing.
Ala great sprinters are not always the best football players.

Can we safely assume that Steptoe is the younger brother of the guy we recruited last year? If so, Arizona might have the inside track. Isn't that where the older Steptoe ended up?
