Williams got the clear out, missed the floater, they get the board and throw a heave 75ft for the win
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Well,

Once again, nice effort in second half, but our standard cruddy first half does us in and apparently we don't know how to win a close one.

Got to learn to take care of business for the entire game. Get a lead, and put your foot on their throat.

What an ending...a 75 footer by MU.

MU only shot about 35-40% from the field for the game and 50% from the foul line but the 75 footer was (as previously noted) all net.

That rivals losing to Utah with .4 seconds left and the only way we can lose is with a deflection tip in on the level of rediculousness.

When is SMU ever going to get a break in football or basketball, this decades old jinx is getting old!

My heart hurts for them. I've watched basketball for a lot of years - played a lot of years two. Rarely have I ever seen a long bomb actually go in. Tough loss man - I feel for them.

Understood, they could have got the road monkey off their back here and been 2-2 in the conference, now we have sunk to the bottom again.

I need a break! These losses are [deleted] everyone, especially the team.

To give Doh credit, he did mix up the defenses very effectively down the stretch. I much prefer the 2-1-2 to the 1-3-1, but he mixed in some man as well.

I'm w/o words and just frustrated. What a rough trip back.

They get no sympathy from me. When you go 9-16 at the free throw line, don't execute down the stretch, and get 6 points Fall and Dia -- who by the way didn't start because he was late for the team bus (typical of that muscle head) -- then you get what you deserve.

When you're on the road, you need to be better than average in a lot of categories. And that my friends is why you have 6-10 and 1-3.
