most of these guys were here for last year's last second heartbreaker against Marshall at Moody. This is the kind of game that makes you want to have another shot at those guys before this season ends. Would love to see a re-match in the conference tourney. Our 4 games with Marshall have all been really exciting. Just stinks to always come out on the short end.

When you're on the road, you need to be better than average in a lot of categories. And that my friends is why you have 6-10 and 1-3.

Come on, they executed fine down the stretch. Got great looks for Williams every possession late, he just missed. Doh switched up D out of the timeout and forced a late turnover, so we had the supposed last shot. Marshall made 4 bombs, including the game winner. Sure, they could have been more aggressively contested, but they were low low percentage shots.

Don't hate so much, it was a tough loss, but 2nd half execution wasn't really the issue

It would be nice if we could score in the 70's or 80's on a more frequent basis.

I'll give you the turnover because it sounded like it was a great play Nyankundi (sp?) made. But make the layup. Since I graduated in 1991, I've seen so many missed chippies, it could fill Moody Coliseum.

It was a freak shot, for sure. Make some free throws, which they are incapable of doing, and that shot is window dressing. This is a pattern of losing programs.

I'm sick of it.

same song, different verse. what can you say, it'd be nice to dismiss it as bad luck, but its another in the long line of kicks in the nads. If it was really luck, it would go the other way at least some of the time.

why was Williams the one taking the shot at the end and not McCoy? Against Tulane, it looked like McCoy could drive and score any time he wanted.

poor Doh. His face looks really pained, and almost pleading in that video for our guys not to screw up or to do something to win.

Williams was getting to rim very easily last night. He was on, McCoy wasn't

I have no problem with Williams taking that shot, McCoy was having an off nite. Too bad, Williams had a great game, but missed an easy layup and a makable shot at the buzzer on the last two possessions, made good moves both times, they just didnt fall.

You could argue that Faye or McCoy could have taken the last shot, but I think Williams was the right choice. I am sure that he was going to drive and if he was heavily contested, he would have kicked it out to Faye or McCoy for a wide open three at the buzzer, but he got good separation for an open, elevated, 6 footer, it just didn't go.

Team played really well the second half, they just have to figure out how to play a whole game.

an EXTREME kick to the nads. think how we feel right now and for a minute imagine how the players must feel. wow. to lose on a 75 footer at the buzzer? unreal.

i have no problem dismissing a 75 footer at the buzzer as bad luck. granted, there are other areas of the game we should/could have executed better to not be in a situation to lose even if they make that prayer of a shot. however, remember the team we faced was 7-1 at home (now 8-1) and was a 10 point favorite last night.

it kills me to see us drop to 1-3 in conference being so close to 2-2. i feel for the players after this one.
