the halftime showI have young kids, I like little kids, but what in the he-ll was that halftime "show"? A bunch of 3 years from a daycare center on the floor fumbling around basketballs while Barney songs blare over the sound system. This was a big football recruiting day wasn't it? we had high school football studs in the stands watching that? I wanted to crawl into a hole.
2nd thing: do the concessions always close with 10 mins left in the game? i don't usually participate in the rants about concessions, but cmon.
Re: the halftime show
An absolute beating. I usually stay and watch - whatever it is - I had to get up and leave on that one. If we are committed to young performers, go for the HP Highland Belles - terrific --- Lake Highlands square dance students --- our own SMU girls drill team (noticed there are a couple of them that didn't pass on any meals during the holidays) --- I know the young squirts bring out the parents, but it's a whippin' for the regulars.
Re: the halftime show
Why aren't we tapping into the local HS's for some halftime entertainment? I think it would be kinda fun to have a fake American Idol contest or something fun for the students to participate in. As a mavs season ticket holder, I enjoyed the ladies trying to make a free throw for a t shirt. Why not have the students participate in things like this ( I know, then we can go have a wet T shirt contest) ![]() U are right, the halftime shows are a whipping. I guess the real plan is they want us out of our seats @ halftime spending $$$. Seriously, there's obviously no time & effort being spent on creative/entertaining halftime shows.
Cause you have to give at a certain level, and I don't qualify. The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
I have to disagree, I am afraid. While I would like to see more HS involvement in the Halftime entertainment, I thought the little tots were adorable, and the people around me were enjoying it thoroughly.
I do agree that the number of little-kid based entertainment is disproportionate, but in some ways it was better than the alumni-team game the week before. That had some great moments, but was lacking something.
I am not a fan of Barney either, but the kids were having a great time. Maybe I am just a sucker.
Tony used to be a regular in the front row at games (as a friend of Adam Diccus) back when he was just a no-name 3rd stringer without a celeb girlfriend...don't think he could get away from that today, but at least he would be a distraction from the product on the court...
