the WDWHA Committee has not accepted the application of any 5 Stars in several decades now.

That is correct. We have a standing policy of not wanting any 5 stars.....anyway. This provision is reviewed annually.

that's why his application to the WDWHA Committee was rejected. Its irritating to have someone run circles around you while considering an application.

Funny.
My question is how come we are not in on any 5 star players like TCU is?
Isn't Doh known for his great recruiting?

who cares where are players come from if you look back at the great kansas teams from a few years ago, collison and hinrich were both from iowa, so it shows that recruiting the immeadiate area isn't the only way to have great players, throw your name out on a lot of recruits and you might create a new pipeline

Yea, I'm sure TCU or SMU have a shot w/Harrison Barnes. Its not like Kansas and UNC are all over him. Heck, Williams hasn't offered another 5 star, Roscoe Smith, who would commit on the spot, b/c he's waiting on Barnes.
Reality and this thread are not friends
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

And we were on Greg Monroe's laundry list of teams in '08. He was as good or better of a prospect than either of those guys and now is maybe the top freshman in the nation with the Hoyas. So what? Being outside the top 10-15 on a 5 star recruit's interest list doesn't do much for the program.
Also, you seem to have a short memory on the fact that we were final 3 (along with LSU and Louisville) for 4 star SG Aaron Dotson this year and he was a top 50-100 rivals player. At least that was a near miss as opposed to barely on the radar.
Weak papwas. Very weak.

I point out that TCU is listed on the favorites list of 2 of the top recruits in the country & we are not I'm that's considered weak. The same can be said for Baylor. Both programs are leaving us behind.
What's really weak is our bb team & its coaching staff.
The bottom line is Doh was brought here to turn this thing around & was considered @ one time a great recruiter. Based on his recruiting accomplishments here I would say his tenure here is a failure & nothing points that out more than the W/L column which continues to get worse each year with him running the show.

His problem is coaching them up, and a severe lack of roster planning. He can still recruit, though. We have more talent then half the teams we've lost to. His is a problem of execution, and being allowed to much flexibility w/the roster. At some point, roster turnover is indicative of greater program ills.
