Now, that's a fair point. I guess we'll all find out on Feb. 4 how many of these kids show up.

I think I'll go show up at the signing day party on Feb. 4 and get a beer.

For what it's worth, he was the only one in this class that actually looked the part of a D1 O-Lineman. Great size doesn't always translate to great player, but in this program any size is a breath of fresh air. Too bad..

Just keep in the back of your mind that some of these recruits may have been informed that SMU may ask them to greyshirt. Its is a fact we are definitely over both the 25 man and 85 man limit. I don't know if Frazier was told-I wouldn't be surprised if some OLM were told they might have to greyshirt.

To piggyback on the keeper's point. Isn't that how we got that one kid who was told from Tulsa he was going to be greyshirted? Forgot his name.

It is a shame we can not just have some of lesser intelligence that do not make it due to grades.

That's what I was referring to in my previous post. Some of these guys are going to have to grayshirt. Just don't know who yet.

I heard 3 OL recruits were being asked to greyshirt. Obviously, one did not take it very well. Recall that he was the same one that was rumored to be looking around in Nov.

If my numbers are right it it is POSSIBLE that there might need to be more than 3 although those extra numbers could very possibly be weeded out by August through mere attrition and players who do not qualify. 3 were definite based on the 25 man roster since we had 3 greyshirts that must be included in this years 25. But when you consider the 85 man limit-we are still over although it is very possible that the limit may be achieved by attrition and qualification casualties instead of by additional greyshirts.

BTW there is another big tall lineman (reportedly 6-7) that SMU appears to have been recently stringing a long for a last minute offer or maybe a walkon. I think the guy's name is Hurd and he may be from Louisiana. I noticed his statements in a report about a visit to Arkansas.

Wayne told Armen over at rivals.com when he first broke the story earlier today that he was not a big city type of person. Oh well, at least we have one more scholarship to give out.

kids name is David Hurd from West Monroe and he visited Arkansas as a walkon candidate. The Bossier City paper in a link that is now broken said that SMU was trying to get him in on a visit. Here's his Rivals page
