The loyal SMU fan could definitely use a bar with cheap drinks near Ford and Moody! But hopefully the land currently occupied by the shopping center and houses on Potomac will become the new soccer stadium and then the indoor practice facility can go where the current soccer stadium is.
And surely with all the land SMU has on the other side of Central now, part of that will be used for another huge parking garage to accommodate overflow crowds for the library and hopefully football games in the future.

That is not going to happen. Sorry. That land will become student housing in a Mockingbird Station-like development (shops and restaurants on the ground level, student housing above). There will be more student housing built across Mockingbird at the Mrs. Baird's site. The rumor is that a pedestrian bridge will also be built across Mockingbird.

Do you know if the student housing is a done deal or just a possibility? I know the new soccer stadium was discussed, but certainly nothing definitive.
I guess they can permanently keep the book store there if it's retail on the first floor and housing above it. I'm curious where that's going to go once they rip up the shopping center.

From what I have heard, it is "all but a done deal." That's directly from Dr. Turner, as of last April. At the time, he said that there should be an announcement made "within the next couple of years"

The long-term plan is to require sophomores to live on campus, which will generate significant revenue for the University. Thus, the need for more student housing.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
