I'm out of state so unless there is the rare exception that a game is on some remote cable access channel, I dont get to see a game. I try to follow what is going on by reading box scores or the rare article.
From what I can asses, from my admitted limited view, it seems like we should be more competitive in this the 3rd year under coach d. We are a sub .500 team in a pretty weak BBall conference. It seems like the success or failure of the first 4 or 5 years under coach D will be determined by his first full recruiting class of 6 players. Although that class has some highly regarded players like Dia and Malone....feels that this class in it's second year has been a let down and when you have a 6 man class that is a letdown, it will leave a mark on the program for 3-5 years. Seems like Dia could develop into a player, but he is going backwards and the rest of that class will be role players in the future. Fye seems like a legit player as do McCoy and the JC guard...but we got nothing coming in next year.
Would appreciate it if somebody who has seem more games and follows the team can chime in on my assessment above. Dont want to get into a debate cause I'm clearly not informed but would love some insights. thanks!
