#10 hoops recruit in the state for 2010. I can tell you first hand this kid has a serious game. So does Taylor from Denison. Both have big time scoring ability.
Looks like Baylor & TT are his favorites but @ least we are in the mix now for 2 of the top 10 players in the state for 2010. The Cobbins kid out of Amarillo & Nick Hinton out of Frisco are also nice prospects for 2010.
I really like seeing us in the picture for some of the top kids in Texas.

Its good to make lists, both local and national. I'll never understand the need to recruit local around here. SMU is a private. Its not like Dook or Vandy are loading up on players from North Carolina or Tennessee respectively. Sure, one or two, here or there, but not as a steady diet. You recruit the best kids you can get regardless of location.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Scott has moved up to the #8 recruit in Texas for 2010 & he still has us listed on his list of favorites.BUTitan wrote:He holds an offer from BU and I hope to see him in Green and Gold. He's very athletic and strong as a 2/3 type player. Great slasher and he is very good on defense.
If BU doesn't get him then I hope SMU does...ya'll need a recruiting break for 2010.
I've seen Rickey play a couple of times & he would be a great addition to the team. The top 2 teams in the area, Cedar Hill & Duncaville are both in his district so he plays against some very good competition.

you're right. As long as we are mediocre to suck, attendance will stay the same regardless of where the players come from. But if we starting winning with Dallas kids that will only help attendance. Obviously the key is winningponyboy wrote:Winning helps even more. What did Sasser, Davis et al bring to help attendance? 200 a game? Less?

I couldn't agree more with those items bolded above. And if the key is winning, which I agree it is, then you want to bring in the best players possible- regardless of where they hail from.LA_Mustang wrote: you're right.
