Martin Makes Major Top 100 ListDeMyron Martin is listed as the No. 99 player in the State of Texas according to the latest update on Lone Star Recruiting by Geoff Ketchum-although a Rivals site focused on UT Ketchum ranks his players independently and Ketchum is a pretty respected analyst. Martin was added to the list circa Dec 1 before two great games played thereafter. Others on the list include Jessie Henderson No. 84 and Jonathan Lindley No. 92. Inexplicably Vincent Chase did not make the list but that makes 4 SMU recruits who have made a major Texas Top 100.

Re: Martin Makes Major Top 100 Listbtw I see both Aggies and Froggies claiming that they never offered Martin which is complete B.S. Its confirmed in a Rivals Aggie Websider reports by their own reporter who quoted Martin about the recent Aggie and Froggie in-house visits by their respective position coaches and the offers which were extended. He will visit both schools but we was clear in stating he was committed to SMU and didn't think they could change his mind. Interesting Fact: His Grandmother lives 3 blocks from campus.

Re: Martin Makes Major Top 100 ListMaybe we should send his grandmother a thankyou card.
I have a hard time taking seriously any list that doesn't include Vincent Chase among the top 100 players in the state. Not that I could provide a more accurate list, of course, but most reports I've seen have him listed anywhere from #3 to #13 in THE COUNTRY at his position, and if those are accurate, he's certainly one of the best players in the state. On most lists I've seen, he's the highest-ranking SMU commit in the state, so maybe it was some sort of bad oversight to leave him off (sounds like Dave Campbell might have thrown together that list during one of his Baylor High pep rallies). I'm a little nervous about Martin visiting aggieville and frogland, but hopefully he stays true to his commitment. He sounds like a dynamite player. Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
Re: Martin Makes Major Top 100 ListBTW look for Martin's ratings on Rivals to go up next time they are re-evaluated according to Alan Zepeda of Rivals.
