Hopefully you are talking about football

for sure. but that is a major emphasis point of the RnS gurus when evaluating talent. No joke.

He knows he's got the advantage in open field- its SHOWTIME-he's going for 6 every play.

What were his final stats last year? rushing-receiving, td's, kick and punt yardage, I think he threw a few as well.

I attended Hightower's Football Awards Banquet where Darius received MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. He also holds several Hightower school records. Here are the stats presented for the year:
Receiving: 53 catches for 1022 yds, 14 TDs
Rushing: 19 carries for 248 yds, 4 TDs
Kickoff Returns: 7 for 239 yds
Punt Returns: 16 for 214

Darius was the most impressive player I saw all year long while following Allen. He was the one player that just stood out as a true game changer. There were several 4 Star athletes out there and they were good but Darius was the most impressive. In fact, if his idiot coach would have found a way to get the ball in his hands more in the state title game then I am pretty sure that Hightower and not Allen would have been state champs.

IMO, his open field ability combined with his speed makes him as good of a prospect as we’ve had in last 10 years. Adding Johnson, McDade and McNeal to Robinson and Sanders we will have some serious speed and talent on the offensive side of the ball. I just hope we've got the right in there to get them the ball.

I agree he looks like a very good player. However, his offer list is not overly impressive so not sure if he's 4 star talent. Check out LB Tanner Brock (TCU recruit) - Rivals has him rated a 3 star too. His offer list (at least what Rivals is aware of) includes Wisconsin, Purdue, Northwestern, Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Mizzou and OU (in addition to TCU and SMU).

278th best receiver in the Country-that's why preseason lists are unreliable. The fact that Scout hasn't upgraded players shows why Scout's rankings suck.
