To heck with the brake tapping. This class sounds exciting. Last year it was exciting what could be done with no time. Unless we fall on our faces next year should even be a step up in recruiting.

Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

Other points he made:
* Sanders will play in the NFL
* BLM is the man to beat at QB
* Shawnbrey will probably be playing in '09

Dude sounds like a BEAST!
He should not have a huge learning curve at that position - his playbook should be one page:
1) when the guy who is bent over holding the ball throws it between his legs, knock the guy in front of you over
2) run over the guy you just knocked down and find who has the ball (will most likely be running away from you or will have an oh chit expression on face)
3) if it appears the guy with the ball will throw it before you can get to him, keep running at him waving your arms in the air in an attempt to knock the ball down
4) if you can get to him, proceed to knock him to the ground
5) repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times
6) go to the sideline, sit down and have a drink
7) wait for coach to tell you it's your turn to play again and start at step 1

I have not heard the P.C. Yet. He did not really say Braden Smith to safety did he? Does he not see that other than Mitchell ( who had to be pulled multiple times last year due to injury and poor play) he is our only qb to have any experience. Padron has played 5 games in his life! And that would put us 2 deep at qb.
Why move sanders to corner?? He is our best WR and is a senior. This is ridiculous! McCann to O is the only one that makes any sense.

Ahh, message boards.
Edit: And if he is saying that about McNeal, they must believe they have a pretty strong case because of precedence, their compliance officer probably believes the same and whatever preliminary work they have done with the NCAA may signal something positive can come from this.
My speculation but you never know.

Also indicated that Beck Coulter (not sure how to spell his name) is the best LB the SMU staff saw all recruiting season and outplayed the #1 LB prospect in the country at a camp.

except he didn't play last season-level of competition might be questionable too as underclassman.

Coincidently he made it seem like the LB position was wide open and that a few of the incoming Freshman will earn significant PT there.

JJ said ES is still a wide receiver on all offensive plays AND also will play corner in certain nickel situations.

Comments came in the context of a question that asked "have you considered moving current players this spring?"
These moves seem more for special situations. Sanders is an all the time WR but may see some action as a 3rd down nickel player. Same with McCann on offense, still a defensive player. He mentioned Braden as a QB but was looking to get the best athletes on the field and some time at safety may be the way.
No cause for panic. JJ wasn't.

BTW have any of you guys seen Emanuel Sanders as a CB? I have in the Texas High School Coaches Association Game. They used him just as JJ suggested-brought him in the 4th Q to shut down A&M 4 star Superstar receiver. Sanders was the best CB on the field-as I recall made 3 straight big plays as a shut-down corner. This makes more sense than some realize-Sanders has natural ability at CB

What kind of monster year would it take for Emmanuel Sanders to get drafted? I'm sure he will get a few looks by some teams as a free agent type, but I'm thinking he'd have to put up ungodly numbers to get in the draft.
Back off Warchild seriously.
