indoor facility?

Postby Alaric » Fri Feb 06, 2009 3:29 pm

from a 2010 recruit: “I like the fact that they’re getting an indoor facility." we've heard speculation in the past but does anyone know anything specific about plans?

I imagine it will be built immediately after the return of men's track.

For the life of me, I can't figure out where it would go.

And the cost, wow. Unless they put it on the other side of Central and make it a barn. The cost will be substantial.

Where Wescott is. Move Wescott across 75.

Or here:

Or under the Bush Library greenspace. It is just money.

Recruits have also reported in the last half year or so that we are expanding to 50,000

Heck, what about enclosing our soccer field, the only enclosed field in the conference? Use it for both sports.

Three sports! Actually I was kidding, but given the price of property in the area, it might actually be briefly considered, before moving it across central.

I will note that if it is built across Central, it doesn't necessarily have to be Georgian Revival architecture (read: cheaper). Also, any indoor practice facility would be used by soccer as well. Yeah for Title IX!!!!
