SMU takes a huge hit in those rankings due to the time period they started (1936, when SMU won the 1935 National Championship and went to the Rose Bowl), the death penalty, and the lack of recent success.

SMU won 11 SWC championships, TCU won 9, Rice won 7. However, taking into account that the rankings started in 1936, 7 are counted for both SMU and TCU, with Rice getting 6.

Stallion's built more than a couple solid programs so he really knows what it takes.

If you don't believe me, just as General Patton's 9 year old. I hear she is the expert analyst around here. When she's eating cookies of course.
