Byron Eaton

After watching the Lincoln star this week in the DISD Holiday Tournament I’m pretty sure he will be ranked as the #1 player in the state next year. He is a tremendous talent. I’ve heard that he will be considered the top ranked player in football as well. Has a Texas athlete ever been ranked #1 in both football and bball before?

BTW he's already been featured on Rivals and doesn't appear to have any interest in SMU.

He's probably already too big time for us. He's been in the top 10 nationally in his class for basketball since about his freshman year. He's just as exciting as Hop was at Lincoln, and they have similar games. He's definitely as athletic as Hop. I've seen him 360 dunk and throw down some sick alley-oops.

I don't know whether he'll pick football or basketball, but I think he would make a heck of a running back somewhere. I already know he's an excellent point guard.

Yeah, he is a great athlete. I don’t think he is as explosive as Hop was but they have very similar games. He’s an excellent shooter and plays under control. Don’t be surprised if he ends up in Austin.

I agree...the school in Austin will "pay the price" to be "committed" to Div 1 college basketball. Hopefully, Byron Eaton won't be bought.

However, all the big time schools parrticipate in these competitive recruiting battles.
