TCU getting a guaranteed $1 mil for the Clemson game. This year marks the 50 yr reunion of the 1st time the 2 teams played.

Meanwhile...we have never played either Clemson or South Carolina in football. Both schools have great support for football. Would be nice to see SMU play one of them at some point in the future.

We play SFA on 9/5, 9/12 is open, 9/19 is WSU, and the 26th now open. CUSA will release the complete schedule in 3 weeks or less, it will be interesting to see what happens. I would like to use one of those open dates, before we play Navy.

Impressive...that is why the $2M investment in JJ is a solid one.

There is absolutely NO REASON we can't get that same payday in the future...and without an assured butt-kicking by our opponent.

Clemson - TCU should be an entertaining game...you going to it CP?

Will have to wait and see. Daughter graduating this spring so don't have the same motivation to get up there (4 hr drive). All of Clemson's games are televised here in Charleston, so I will likely just watch on TV...unless I end up in Dallas that weekend (schedule?) I like to get to at least one SMU game every year...this year is a reunion year for my class so might have to do Homecoming, but I do prefer late Sept/early Oct games because the weather is usually good. I guess it can't get any worse than the weather we had in Annapolis last year.

that game will be painful on the eyes to watch. TCU's purple pants offset against that bright orange. Ugh.

I struggled when both my kids chose Clemson. Honestly, they had to choose a school that uses BOTH orange and purple? The story goes that VClemson chose those colors because that is what the sunsets over Lake Hartwell (on campus) feature...and having witnessed a sunset from the Madren Center (hotel and golf course)...it's true.

Any TCU fans that can make this trip should really enjoy it...and I think they will have a good chance of winning that game. Clemson will be breaking in a new QB so they may struggle offensively, which should play to TCU's strength.
