Any left overs from Auburn? They had a pretty good defense. Between Auburn, Ole Miss and Miss. St. there should be some good coaches floating around out there.

Suggestions/Options:
Johnny Ringo, Plano East HS
Oscar Giles, Texas, former grad asst w/ SMU
D.W. Rutledge, Exec Director of THSCA
Dale Lindsey, former DC after DP & in NFL (great talent eval), U San Diego
Jerry Gray (longshot), former coach w/ SMU
Some or all of these are out of my [deleted]. Oh well, just suggesting.

Yep...saw him at an EF game...he recruited Kyle Kriegel, a stud defensive end who graduated early and enrolled at Texas this spring. I did radio color commentary for EF last year. They had a rough season, but Kriegel was still exceptional.

Was he at the EF-DP game or the EF-CR game. Maybe EF-GS game? How did the EFJV do this year? In fact what the E-Fing are you talking about for those of us that don't live in your world?

I thought about him and then went to the Portland State web site and read how he said he was excited about his team and that it takes 3 years of recruiting to build a team, yada, yada, yada. Just did not get the impression that he would be willing to leave that program at this time.

My choices would be Kevin Lempa (Terps), Vantz Singletary (SF 49s), Kalani Sitake (Utah), Justin Wilcox (Boise State) and Joe Seumalo (Oregon State).
Kevin has no Texas ties. Vantz just started a new job with uncle at niners (we could have had him last year but JJ encouraged him to take the Buffalo job, plus has no TX ties, dream was NFL), Kalani is LDS, no TX ties and loves Utah. Justin Wilcox is a young riser. Joe Seumalo is a solid D line coach and an innovator on blitzing schemes.
- oh yeah, Manny Diaz from Middle Tennessee State
