Recently read an interview with a SEC assistant coach who voiced the same thing. Said because of the great 4 and 5A programs in Texas you had to be very careful recruiting in Texas.

I beleived everything he said, until he mentioned this class had the talent, grades and character. The grades on a half dozen of these kids are really on the margin. I am glad we are taking the risk and hope they can turn their studies around, but JR stretched just a little...

Where do you find out info about their grades?

I read it on several services, with regard to one of our California players, the Miami transfer and our LB that had to sit out his entire senior year in high school for not making grades.
