Jeffcoat would be a good choice. He's local for one thing. He lives here. He's a name. He lives in my neighborhood.

Jim Jeffcoat would be a great hire even if his son Jackson Jeffcoat did not come to SMU. Jim Jeffcoat is a great defensive line coach. In fact at Houston Jim Jeffcoat coached Phillip Hunt to Defensive Player of the Year honors and an All-Conference USA First Team selection. Hunt finished second in the nation in sacks per game with 1.08 and ended his career with 34 sacks, a new UH record. If we can get him let's do it.

Maybe he could do the same with our DL Hunt
